Greetings from Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha! We are extremely happy to announce that a glorious moment in the history of Indian chess has arrived. India is going to organize Chess Olympiad, much coveted and the greatest chess event of the world from 28th July to 10th August, 2022 at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu under the able leadership of Mr. Bharat Singh Chowhan & Dr. Sanjay Kapoor. A record number of 188 countries will participate In this phenomenal international meet. In order to celebrate the first ever Chess Olympiad on Indian soil as well as 75th year of independence, SAI, along with Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India and AICF has arranged a Olympiad Torch Rally over 75 cities of India. The Olympiad Torch will come to Kolkata Airport on 7th July, 2022 at 3-30 pm. We cordially invite all the chess lovers & chess enthusiasts of Kolkata to join this program to make it a grand success and to uphold the prestige of our beloved city of Kolkata. Few Grandmasters of Kolkata will take part in Simultaneous Exhibition Matches against young chess talents to celebrate this occasion.
