Champion Bristy & Sanket in the WB State Junior (U-20) Chess Championship

The 5th Edition of WB State Junior(U-20) Fide Rating Chess Championship 2021 held at Kalokakoli, Colony Institute, Nager Bazar, Kolkata from 23rd to 26th December 2021 . The Tournament was inaugurated by Avijit Mitra, Coordinator, South Dumdum Municipality by making his first move on the board and also present Dr. Ananda Bagchi President, North 24 Pgs. District Chess Association. Total 150 players (114 in Open & 36 in Girls) from 14 Districts have taken part in the tournament in very short notice. . At the end of final round games Sanket Chakravarty (7) & Bristy Mukherjee(7.5) clinched the Championship Title in Open & Girls section respectively & richer by Rs.10000/- each .Rupam Mukherjee & Ayush Jha placed 2nd position & 3rd Position in Open and Sinthia Sarkar & Mrittika Mallick placed 2nd & 3rd Position respectively in Girls section and richer by Rs. 7000/-. & Rs. 5000/-.
