ATTENTION ! IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is being hereby notified to all the players, coaches, organisers and other stakeholders of West Bengal that Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha (SBDS) is the apex body of chess in West Bengal and is the affiliated unit of All India Chess Federation.( AICF ) This may be verified in the official website of AICF as per the following link aicf.in/affiliate. It has come to our knowledge that an unauthorised organisation, which has no approval from AICF, has announced a chess tournament on 2nd & 3rd October, 2021 without any approval of Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha or Kolkata District Chess Association. Though they have no right to conduct any State Championship, still they named it as "State Championship" with an ulterior motive. We would like to inform all concerned that we have given approval to a tournament to be organised by Modern Chess Academy at Rishra on 2nd October, 2021. All players are advised not to be misguided and to keep themselves away from any unauthorised tournament.
