The 1st State Conference of Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha was organised by Nadia District Chess Association on National Sports Day, Sunday 29th August 2021 at Techno India Group of Schools, Nabadwip. Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua, who was the Chief Guest of this State Conference, inspired the district representatives by narrating some of his dream projects which will make the future of chess in West Bengal bright and full of promises. He shared his view that the status of the districts must be improved to uplift the level of West Bengal chess. Mr. Tushar Chatterjee, Secretary of Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha and Nadia District Chess Association, discussed the "Mission" & " Vision" of Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha and ensured a transparent, honest and player-friendly State Chess Association. Senior chess personalities like Mr. Atin Sengupta, Mr. Shyamol Datta, Mr. Tapas Sarkar, Mr. Debasish Barua, Mr. Asit Baran Choudhury, Mr. Anjan Mallick and others were also present in the program and offered their blessings and support to Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha. In their opinion, a new overwhelming flow has come to West Bengal Chess which will pave the way for future Grandmasters of new generation. The State Conference was followed by a Chess Tournament for blind players and a workshop by Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua. Nadia District Chess Association also arranged for a felicitation program for Grandmaster Barua. This program was attended by the Honorable Minister Mr. Swapan Debnath and Honorable MLA Mr. Pundarikaksha Saha.
