Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha celebrated the International Chess Day through virtual meeting at zoom platform on 20th July from 4-30 pm.

The International Chess Day was observed by SBDS in two phases. In the first phase, Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua made an interactive training session for junior chess players for one hour. The spectators were charmed as Sri Barua analyzed two positions, explaining each move. In the second phase, Grandmaster Surya Sekhar Ganguly conducted a workshop on some intricate aspects of chess which was extremely beneficial for the participants. The program was a grand success with participation of more than 100 children from different districts along with their parents. Sri Tushar Chatterjee, Hony. Secretary of SBDS, announced that SBDS will continue to conduct several attractive programs for the development and popularization of chess . Several districts also celebrated this day with active support and co- operation from SBDS.
